Does Aris9.8 Designer (Windows client) need a Java Run time Environment (JRE) on Windows 64-bits, or can it run 'native' on Windows?
Hi,
there was a pure Windows-Client long time ago, but that tool is out of support for years now.
For sure it needs a Java runtime environment. But it depends how you want to use it:
If you install the ARIS Designer (or Architect) locally on your machine, you do not need to install a Java runtime environment on your system. The locally installed Architect/Designer comes with its own JRE.
But if you'd like to use the download client, you need to have the JRE installed on your system.
Bye,
Frank
