Hello Colleagues,
I used to draw a connection from position object (indicated by star symbol) to another position object directly in organization diagram. Lately, I can not draw the direct connection anymore and I did the job with Aris 9.8.
Is there any chance that this type of connection is not permittable anymore, or is it just some issue with this version?

If the position objects already have a connection and tries to create a new connection again to the same objects, then the ARIS will ask to choose which type of connection is needed. To an existing connection usually is 'is technical superior to' and when create a new one have to choose 'is disciplinary superior to' or 'substitutes for' or the 'is organization manager for'.. The ARIS don't allow the same connection type twice to the same objects... BR AO

Thank you for the input.. now I can draw the connection with different connection type to the same position object. Well...turns out that ARIS doesn't allow the same connection type twice to the same object as you mentioned before.

There are several connection types allowed between positions in the org. chart. Please consult with your method owner, if those connection types were discontinued in your method (i.e. removed from the method filter). Ask them for guidance how they expect you to model what you previously did with that connection type.
