Hi all,

Curently I am configuring an EBPM environment for a customer. We have installed ARIS 7.2, webMethods 8.2 and configured all.

Now I have created an EPC model in ARIS that contains a function attached to a business service. The business service is assigned to a service allocation diagram where the business service object is attached to a Application system type.

This model is transformed into a BPMN model. A Service task is created assigned to a FAD where the Application service type is shown. So far so good...

Now when I run the validation for Sharing the BPMN diagram with IT, I get the message that the service has no synchronization relationship with centrasite.

Does this mean I can only use existing services known in CS in my models?

Our goal is to send IT a model showing the need for new services as well as existing services.

Hope you can help me out?

Hi Nils,

yes that is exactly the point. In 7.2 you can only use Services which are known in CentraSite. I'm afraid you need also a CentraSite Server even if you have no services attached (since ARIS K the CentraSite server is optional).

Hi Niels,

ARIS K is to say ARIS 9.x.

The idea is:

1. CS is the governance repository. No one should publish or use rogue services.

2. A webMethods process is a client development in Designer. The ARIS Architect is a client to the Business Server. Both clients don't know each other and also the Business Server cannot know the Designer. So Designer has to pull the information from somewhere, but cannot access the ARIS Business Server. So CS is the intermediary both know.
