Though being a big supporter of ARIS Community and ARIS Express, I was curious to test ARISalign after the huge press feedback around CeBIT.
So, I went to arisalign.com, registered, and tried to find my way through the several possibilities to click.
I recognized that I can send and receive messages, connect to people and get people recommended I might know. All these functionalities reminded me of social networks such as Facebook or LinkedIn and I needed a little time to find the heart of ARISalign: the button “Projects” took me there. I was offered to set up projects and to invite people to share our thoughts and ideas on a whiteboard – LIVE! It is possible to visualize the thoughts with electronic stickies or as a process or both at the same time. Nice!
There is an additional library where all participants of a project can upload files to share and store them online. Besides that, I can export my result into XPDL, webMethods or into ARIS Express which makes the produced models and project plans even more worthy and easy to share.
My colleague and I tried it out, started making some marketing plans together and it went out just fine. We invited our boss to participate so he can see our ideas and add budgets! :-)
Believe me, it´s worth trying and an excellent addition to the ARIS Community and ARIS Express for all BPM experts and prospects. Have fun with learning by doing.
