What else to say? :-) Maybe this: ARIS has been the Leader in the BPA Tools Magic Quadrant since its inception in 1996!

Hi Claudio,
I would say it depends on what you want to achieve with BPA...
That´s what Gartner says:
Although Visio can be a low-cost, easy-to-use way to get started broadly with BPA, there is still reluctance with some BP architects and analysts to extended its use to major improvement and transformation projects, due to its lack of advanced simulation, what-if analysis and vertical framework support.
If and when Visio customers reach the point where they need greater functionality for enterprise and business/BP architects and analysts, they will need to use a Visio partner or consider acquiring a complementary BPA tool with a Visio bridge.
Cheers
Nina
Great achievement and well done! I have been an avid ARIS user and prophet for more than 12 years. It is good to know that one’s BPA / EA strategy is supported by a leading and visionary software vendor in this space. There are areas where ARIS can improve to be more comprehensive and complete and 2 areas that I particularly would like to see improvement are:
- The ability to model data models and to generate DDL’s. Currently complementary tools are required and this increases the learning curve and impacts productivity negatively.
- When designing BPM solutions, especially using BPMN it is possible to explain user tasks in more detail by assigning screen designs. However the “wire diagram” ability of the current screen design technique is not comparable to modern wire diagram solutions that are both cheap and rich in functionality i.e. balsamiq or visual paradigm’s agilian. Here again we have to use complementary tools (balsamiq) and would prefer if the current ARIS screen design technique could be upgraded?
Overall, ARIS rocks!
