Can anyone tell me if ARIS is able to provide a matrix-traceability of data such as Descriptions/Definitions from activities?

Basically, we are used to doing requirements management with a requirements tool and are looking to create the same type of matrix or traceability that we have with requirements...(from the descriptions or definitions)

I don't know of any way to do a matrix between and attribute (Description/Definition) and an object unless you write a report in ARIS Script. If you use an object for the Requirement (I think there is already one for this purpose) then you could do saimple Matrix in the matrix editor.

Hello Norm,

an overview of objects and relations in an ARIS requirements allocation diagram you can find here

We have used Aris for process modelling only and exported EPC objects into the req. mgmt. tool in order to trace them to product requirements. So the traceability matrix and reports/change history are created there.

What RM tool do you use? Maybe we can inspire each other.

Best regards, Martin

Thanks for the comment Martin.

We are new to ARIS and are using BPMN models for our process flows. We have RequisitePro for requirement management. Since we are now modeling our processes; we are not actually writing requirements, but rather descriptions/definitions to identify what each task is doing.

We had thought about using ReqPro to store these and track with a traceability matrix.

I will look further into the ARIS requirement allocation diagram option to see if that will work for us.

Thanks for your help.
