ARIS defaults to a dotted line for message flows.
The OMG standard for BPMN states..."A Connecting Object that shows the flow of messages between two Participants. A Message Flow is represented by a dashed lined."
Is there a way to change it in the template for all collaboration models?
Also, how critical is this when converting to WebMethods? Will it effect the B2E?
It is as simple as changing your template. You want to check the connection types (there are two if you use the envelope symbol between pools) and then go to your Administration area. Right click on your template and follow the wizard - in some of the later screens you can change the representation of both connection types. Finish the wizard after the changes are done.
Now you want to find all collaboration models and apply the updated template by using the "Format Models" report. All new models will have the updated representation automatically when you apply the template.
This change will not affect any transformation within M2E, because you just changed the representation and not the connection type.
Much appreciated! I was able to change the representation from dotted to dashed for the lines to the message symbol.
