OK, this should be easy :)
I have set my preferences of connection apearance in view>options....>connection appearance to "New connections only right angled". However, when I create a new connection the connection is a straight line. This is a new database and does not occur on any other database.

Maybe your model had created before option New connections only right angledwas selected. So you should select same options for model (e.g. through model’s properties). Then you’ll get 'right-angled'connection.
Thanks Alexander, that's worked. It must have been because I have imported these models using a script.
Anyway, now working as right-angled!

Hi Scott,
Just to be clear about this setting, it means that, with the box checked as you have done, you would not be able to draw a 'diagonal' line. If you attempted this, the system would automatically create a 'right-angled' line for you. In other words, if there is no need for a right-angled line, the system will do nothing. So, when you say 'straight,' do do you mean 'diagonal?'
