In the connect portal (how hope this is the right term, I would compare it to the explorer in MS Windows), I would like to filter for certain objects, in this case for the roles which have been created in a certain database.
With other words: I would like to find out what roles have been created in the respective database.

go to the highest level of your database (main group) and then to the search option (click on the icon right of the search field). In the search options select What are you looking for?="objects" and Type = "role" or may be Type= "position" (whatver you are using to model roles) or both (for orgchart models) or Type " lane" (for BPMN models using roles/positions for lanes). The selected list is shown in the main window.
