We are using the 7.2 version of interface_description_aris_xml_export_import v72... for our reasearch activities on alignment measures of ARIS models
Is it possible to have the 9.7 version ? We did not found it in online help on documentation folder..
and we suppose they are some evolutions... ?

The ARIS help answers where to find that information (valid since ARIS 9.6):
XML export/import
The document ARIS XML Export-Import Interface.pdf is no longer included in the current ARIS. The format of the ARIS XML export-import interface is completely documented in the Document Type Definition (DTD) itself. The file ARIS-Export.dtd is located on your installation media in the Add-ons/DTD directory.
When exporting from ARIS, an XML file is created containing all data of the exported items.

could you help us with a short explanation about "Extended Connection" ?
Working on our research base, we understand the DTD except for these elements : ExtCxnDef, ExtCxnOcc...
They have the same structure than CxnDef... they are child of all objects... but we have no occurrence in our base...
So, we do not see what an "extended connection" is in ARIS models...
No more information in ARIS 7.2 XML interface documentation...

A comment on dtd version and xml export ...
we find the following definition for FFTextDef.. seems not exactly the one used for the xml export
