Can we install ARIS Design server and ARIS Publisher server (ARIS 9.6)on the the same server. I know that SoftwareAG doesn't support such installation. But is there a way we can install them on the same server, tleast in non-prod environments?

Hi, I have tried to do that and the result is that ARIS UMC (cetral user administration) conflicts with ARIS Publisher user administration as ARIS UMC service becomes impossible to start. I find no other solution than installing it on separate servers.

In my case it would be nice at least a partial solution, I believe ARIS 9.7 is prepared for: Integrate both (all) components under one proxy server (like Apache) so that you may from the outside see it under one server but different URL's. This may have other advantages like only the proxy server will run as root to allow using a privileged port (<1024) on Linux. There is also possible to limit the firewall open ports this way.
Another option is to run it in a virtual box if your HW is strong enough.
