ARIS Aware: unable to get data from the dashboards

Hi everyone

I have this problem in ARIS Aware. I run the dashboards but the data feeds don't seem to provide any data. The error "302 - Moved Temporarily" is returned

This is the response I got after a simple google research:

"The 302 response from the Web server should always include an alternative URL to which redirection should occur. If it does, a Web browser will immediately retry the alternative URL. So you never actually see a 302 error in a Web browser, unless perhaps you have a corrupt redirection chain e.g. URL A redirects to URL B which in turn redirects back to URL A. If your client is not a Web browser, it should behave in the same way as a Web browser i.e. immediately retry the alternative URL.

If the Web server does not return an alternative URL with the 302 response, then either the Web server sofware itself is defective or the Webmaster has not set up the URL redirection correctly."

However I'm still trying to figure out how to move forward and manage to get the graphics on the dashboards.

Dear Pedro,

Did you follow the ARIS Aware Guide to prepare/restore the default dashboards in ARIS?

That document is located in DVD folder .\Documents\English\4 Administration\41 Basic (Single node).

Yes I did, I noticed that there is a section "Make Default Dashboards Available" but this does not cover the issue I was looking for.

However, I came here to let everyone know what I did: I changed the URL alias from localhost to arisw2k12 (which is the hostname I'm currently using) and refreshed the dashboards.

Thanks for sharing how you solved that issue.

BTW: The host name in the Aware alias "Feed URL" could be set to localhost IF you turn off ARIS' redirecting of its server name via this ACC command:

reconfigure loadbalancer_s HTTPD.RewriteEngine=off

Then ARIS would accept localhost or the current IP address from a browser and no longer redirecting it to its initial server name.

However, when using localhost as alias, of course, no other computer could open your dashboards as localhost is always resolved on each computer as a local server. For a local use case OK but not when ARIS Server is really acting as server for several computers.

Finally I decided to overwrite the dashboard feeds as instructed on ARIS Aware Guide section 2.1.1.3 and cannot retrieve any graphics in any way

I'm trying to re-define the alias as instructed on 2.1.1.4 but I'm not sure if this will work.

EDIT: didn't work. I even restarted all runnables from the ACC. Same results.

An additional help will be much appreciated.

Did you enter the alias "Feed URL" as instructed in the guide?

That alias works as placeholder in our default dashboards/feeds to resolve the hostname.
