My First MashApp : Aris MashZone Group Best Contributors

This is my first experience with Aris MashZone, I strated an hour ago installing Mash Zone on my laptop. Now I share with you my first experimentation on MashZone.

First Data Feed :

I tried to feed my datas with Aris MashZone Group RSS.

RSS provide information on Articles and Creators.

Convert date step was just a test it don't make sens on the exemple.

Insert columns is mandatory to calculate how many post is made by contributors.

Then Aggregation allow us to have one line per contributors (item-dc:creator) and the number of articles.

Our DataFeed is done.

Now we create a new Column chart on our MashZone.

We feed it with our previous DataFeed

We get the result :

Congratulation Waltzba you're the bigest contributor !

I'm sure that it's not the best way to reach this results, but everyone started as a biginer.

Great idea, I really like it! We thought about adding this kind of ranking to the user profiles, but it seems there is no need for it as you solved that for us ;-)

I'm not sure if the thing will work correctly, because I don't know how many items the feed delivers. So it could be that it only gives you the latest 10 posts and not all posts. But than, it is the ranking of the most recent contributors ;-)

As a node aside, you used the feed of the ARIS MashZone category and not the group, but I think this makes your result even more valid as you capture more posts about MashZone and not just those in the specific group.
