is there a tutorial or approach document on how to use the Excel-Import template? I don't know how to fill entries like Objtype or symbol type in the template.
Another question: Is there an easy way to import data from an MS Access Database into my ARIS local database? For example the above called Excel-Import template or the XML-Import?

Are you referring to the ARIS Process Generator? That Excel-based tool to import ARIS process content via Excel table is available via Global Support ARIS for free. Just ask for ProcessGenerator_90.zip. it comes with macros and reports to import Excel tables into ARIS models, though in a limited manner.

I am also looking solutions in this field. Is this template applicable for all model types?
To find objects type of symbol types, you should go to a model (or an object)
-Click F8 to retrieve the info
-On the information panel go to "type" and use the shortcut CTRL+F1
-You will find the object type in the help pages of ARIS method
Or you can go to ARIS Architect and select
-Administration>Configuration>Method
In the method books you will see the object and symbol as well as connection types
Please share your results in case you progress with the imports.
