Hi All,

I´m newer in ARIS and I'm trying to installation of ARIS 9.8 .

I started by installing ARIS Connect Server , and then installed the ARIS Architect & Designer 9.8 according installation guide.
However when I try to start the ARIS Connect Server you get the following message .

Unable to add node localhost to ensemble.

Could not connect to http://localhost:9001/rest. Make sure that an agent is running on this machine and that the specified port is correct. Also check if you used the right protocol to communicate with the agent (you used HTTP, try HTTPS).

I´m also trying installed and start the ARIS Architect & Designer 9.8 and connecting to the Local server using the user system / manger get the following message .

Unable to acess ARIS Server

Someone can help me.

Dear Pedro,

After you clicked the icon Start ARIS Connect Server in the program group ARIS, you need to wait some minutes to get the server started. The window will disappear when done.

If the windows doesn't appear or displays shortly the first error message you reported, then you probably haven't started the Windows service ARIS Agent 9.8. Click the Windows Start button and then the menu Administrative Tools/Services and start then start ARIS Agent. After some seconds start ARIS Connect Server again.

Dear Alexander,

To track down the root cause of that error, you need to provide the log files. For LOCAL, the embedded ARIS server when installing ARIS Architect, you can use the batch file collectLogFiles.bat in folder C:\SoftwareAG\ARIS9.8\LOCALSERVER\support-localserver to collect all log files in one zip file.

In case you have installed ARIS Design/Connect Server, the log file batch is located in folder C:\SoftwareAG\ARIS9.8\support.
