Hi All,

While trying to integrate ARIS & SAP Solution manager 7.2 , I am not able to access saplogon.ini file.

I am using SAP GUI 7.50 to logon to SAP Solution manager and don't have access to saplogon.ini file. SAP has replaced the saplogon.ini file with SAPUILandscape.xml file starting version SAP GUI 7.50.

Is there any way of using SAPUILandscape.xml file to establish connection with the server?

Any help on this will be much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Prerna Kohli

Hi Prerna,

You can use the both files to connect with the ARIS, in that case has some details in documentation to how to register the sap server, maybe this step was missed... please check these steps:

42.1 Register SAP Server for ARIS Connect

Provide SAP® Servers for running executables from the portal.
Even if you only use URL based executables, such as Fiori apps (page 15), make sure to have a SAP Server registered.

Prerequisite
The saplogon.ini file or the SAPUILandscape.xml file exists on your computer.

Procedure
REGISTER SAP® SERVER

1. Click ARIS > Administration.
2. Click Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.
3. Open the folder SAP > Executable start from ARIS Connect.
4. In the Start tab bar, click New > SAP® Server. The Register SAP Server dialog opens.
5. Select the SAP® Server to be used for running executables from the portal.
6. Click OK.
The SAP® Server is shown in the table, and is automatically selected as a default server and used for running executables.
If you registered more than one server, specify a default server.
If you registered a SAP® Server using Solution Manager 7.1, you must also select the system role (page 122).

REGISTER SAP® SERVER URL

1. Click ARIS > Administration.
2. Click Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.
3. Open the folder SAP > Executable start from ARIS Connect.
4. In the Start tab bar, click New > SAP® Server URL. A dialog of the same name opens.
5. Enter the name of the server in the System name box.
6. Enter the address of the server in the URL box (syntax: http://:
/scripts/wgate/webgui/?~transaction=) and click OK.
The server is transferred to the list of registered servers.
If you registered more than one server, specify a default server.

REGISTER SAP NETWEAVER® BUSINESS CLIENTS

1. Click ARIS > Options. The Options dialog opens.
2. Click SAP® options > Select server on the Selection tab.
3. In the Start tab bar, click New > SAP® Server URL. A dialog of the same name opens.
4. Enter the SAP NetWeaver® Business Client URL and authentication parameter.
5. Click OK.
The server is transferred to the list of registered servers.
