Hi,
I am using the ARIS Business Publisher in its standard form, where I go to a link, provide the login information, choose the language and land on the 'Home' page. My requirement is to provide URL links for individual process models to users. I get that link from 'Copy Link' functionality and I can even incorporate the password in that URL to avoid Log-in. However, when a user clicks on that link, he/she lands on the 'Home' tab and NOT the 'Contents' tab - where the model is displayed.
Is there a way to land up on the 'Contents' tab by default instead of 'Home' tab? What settings are required to achieve this?
Regards,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
Yes there is a way. When you open any model or the content page. Right Click any where on the empty space of the page,'copy link' . You will see the details in a box momentarily. Copy that by pressing 'CTRL + C' ( that is the only way it gets copied) then do 'CTRL + V' in the explorer -url toolbar and enter. You will directly open the content or the model page. You can send that link to your colleagues.
I hope that's what you are looking for.

Hi Deepa,
:) Your reply was really elaborative. Unfortunately using this method, the user still lands up on the 'Home' tab of the publisher, which is the usual landing page after logon. It doesnt show any model, but summarizes the models that have recently been opened has a News section on the right, etc. User has to then click on the 'Contents' tab where the model corresponding to the URL is displayed.
I want the user to directly see the model, which is in the 'Contents' tab, as soon as he clicks the URL. So I have to make the 'Contents' as the default landing page! Any suggestions?

Hi Thierry,
Thanks for your reply. But I am already taking care of what you have mentioned. Check this out. From the 'copy link' option on the model, I get the following URL:
When I click on this, I am asked to login and then I landup on the 'Home tab'. I click on the 'Contents' tab and the specific model is displayed without any need to navigate through the hierarchy.
I modify the URL to include password. This now reads as:
When I click on this, I skip the login process and directly land up on the 'Home tab'. Again I have to click on the 'Contents tab' to see the model. URL doesn't change be it 'Home tab' or 'Contents tab'.
So how can i ensure than I land up directly on 'Contents' tab and bypass the 'Home' tab completely. My purpose is that I click on the URL and directly see the model, without any further navigation or screens or clicks! Possible?
Hi Rahul
Indeed, your examples look perfectly valid. I do use the alternative form (without profileid=) and it always lands in the Contents tab:
Perhaps you'll be more successful with this.
