Hello All,

I´m searching for a report or a functionality in ARIS, that is able to identify the model or organisation chart or Compliance Structure or Knowledge Structure Diagram  in a group .

Obsolete objects have the suffixes  ‘*_KT4’, ‘*_PETMD’. I need to find list of object with having the suffixes  ‘*_KT4’, ‘*_PETMD’ and kept into seperate folder (Archive ) .

I thought there would be a standard functionality in ARIS or Report that would help me with this problem but I couldn´t find it.

Can anyone help me with this question?

Kind regards

Rams.

Hello Rams,

if the full name or a part of the name of the Model, like the suffix you mentioned, qualifies it, you might want to try using the search function. You can used "*" as wildcard like *_KT4 to find all models that end with _KT4.

You can even drag and drop the models from the search result into a different folder.

It is manual work, but also gives you full control on moving the models to the proper location.

Kind Regards,

Mathias

Hi Rams,

as far as i know you would need to generate a report for this on your own and of course provide all the necessary parameters (e.g. the destination folder). I don't believe that there will be an out of the box report for this special scenario.

If this would be a one time action I would assume that using the search function as mentioned above might still take less time than writing the report. Since you can select all results (ctrl + a) of the search and drag and drop them into the destination folder that doesn't look too time consuming in the end.

If the models have to go to different archive folders due to some other rules the search function with drag & drop will become more effort of course. But even in the report this would need to be reflected.

If you want to clean-up the database on a regular basis, a (scheduled) report would of course be the more sophisticated aproach I agree.

Regards,

Mathias
