Hi All,
Need some help urgently..
I use ARIS business designer for creating all our process models. Most of them are L4 & L5 models which are process and activity flows.
when it comes to sign off from the satekholders, who are generally from the ops..community, what we do is to copy the model and paste in as a image in the word document. which is presented to the stakeholders..
The problem is, as we have models which are huge in size when we copy it as an image in the word document, the intended audience can barely.see the flow..
This is creating a huge problem as people can see clearly the process flow and hence fail to understand it.
Is there a way that we can export the ARIS process models in the word document with the same view..or is there any other way we can have the same image size in some other format..apart from ARIS..
Would appreciate, if somecan can help!!
Thanks
Neeraj
Hi Neeraj,
I so happen to come across a previous article here that may help you. It also includes a report script to output a graphic image of the model in question in an excel format. As follows: http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/eva-klein/2010-08-24-output-picture-model-microsoft-excel
Hope it helps you.

Multiple options exist...
- Instead of word, you could paste within an excel worksheet, so that its relatively easy to scroll up / down & view the entire model.
- You could use one of the standard reports like Output model information, thereby not only the graphic could be extracted but also different model / object attribute info into word / excel / html / pdf formats
-
(Infact the output model info report with html output option creates an PNG image of the model graphic & uses it within the html)
- Reports like the Structure charts could also be used to convert the graphical form of the model into a tabular format, if word output is still preferred.
