WYSIWYG Report help: Get the count of an object type in the model

Im creating a report for the IT Systems used in a group of models. What i would like to get is a table with the following columns:

IT System name
Count of times the System appears in the selected models or group

Ideally it would be something like this

Another thing i would like to achieve is to be able to list from all of the models selected , only the ones that dont use an IT System.

Note: Im hoping to achieve this only using the WYSIWYG editor but if this is not possible and there's a way to do it via scripting i'm open to try it

Hello Roberto,

your questions mean three different paths of evaluation:

if you want to list and count IT systems in a group tree you need to look up object definitions
=> try to adopt the standard report "Output object information" to your needs.
if you want to list and count IT systems starting from selected models you need to look up object occurrences in models
=> try to adopt the standard report "Output model information considering various aspects"
In order "to list from all of the models selected , only the ones that dont use an IT System" you would need a custom script
1. to evaluate the selected models
2. get all occurrences of IT systems in a model (cf. Script Help https://docs.aris.com/10.0.27.0/yaa-script-help-ba/en/#/home/r_O_Model_objocclistfilter4/en/1 )
3. if the returned ObjOcc[] array count = 0 collect the model name for your output.

Hi,

Why do you want to use the WYSIWYG editor? For me, the easiest solution is to use queries for this type of problem.

Hi Veronika,

Is something a client is requesting, the client would like to be able to get this information using a report. Also, as far as i know the query functionality is not available with my current advanced license.

Hi Roberto,

I don't think it can be done in WYSIWYG, because you do not have aggregation functions like COUNT at your disposal. It can be done quite easily in a scripted report.

Thanks for the reply, do you have an easy example on how to do this with the scripted report?. Personally i have found the documentation on this matter to be quite lacking. Also if you know of any good source of information to get into scripted reports i would appreciate it.
