Cannot install Aris express

Im running Windows 7 and have had exactly the same error, i've searched google for fixes but to no avail. Ive tried altering the settings to windows update but it doesnt work either, also d/l your exe 3 times, still no joy.......any other suggestions? - Tony

oops! I go the answer. i think.

the download still does not work, instead of downloading the full 170MB, it stop at 79M, and install fail.

Resolution: just install for other platform (not windows). The installation ask for jnlp file, but go ahead and click install. Some setup login info, and it will install.

we still not found out what the problem is. We have hundreds of downloads per week, but there is a (very small) percentage of users, where the download stops. This might have many reasons, proxies, whatever...

This is a link to amazon cloud s3, with the same file. Can you try this out?

please try to copy the install-programm on local disc like C:\temp

then start it.

I had the same 5001 error and copying the installation-programm locally solved the problem, and the installation worked fine

I wonder if anybody from this "fabulous" SoftwareAG has just a little bit of brains and conscience left to at least try to comprehend that there is something seriously wrong in their "so-called" installation package. People! Can you READ? Several times you have been reported about the problem:

We have had the same problem but for the "full" version not Aris Express, we deactivated the Antivirus and we were able to continue with the installation.

We tried several options between downloading the same version, a new version, changing machines but finally it worked by deactivating the Antivirus.

Hemos tenido el mismo problema pero para la versión "completa" no Aris Express, desactivamos el Antivirus y pudimos continuar con la instalación.

Probamos varias opciones entre descargar la misma versión, una nueva versión, cambiar de máquina pero finalmente funcionó desactivando el Antivirus.

Espero que te funcione.
