BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is an important standard for the execution of processes. Due to the necessary proximity to technical implementations and the capabilities of execution engines, BPMN is somewhat complex and requires a different modeling style and patterns than other, more traditional ARIS notations - especially the EPC notation that is used by the majority of ARIS users.
This series of articles, which will be published in a loose sequence without a strict schedule, aims to bring some clarifications in the usage of this standard and how it fits into the overall ARIS method.

Hi Roland,
I dont know this topic is still alive or not for further articles, but
can youn please highlight the "ARIS EPC -> BPMN 2.0 -> XPDL export -> webMethods import", a complete transformation for M2E in your next single article (with technical information)
I know there are lot of posts already available in this community related to this, but as far as i went through the posts till now no one single post covers entire technical explanation for this.
thanks,
Vinay
Vinay,
yes, this series is still alive, but I am writing it in my spare time which I don't have much lately :-) You might want to check the EBPM series for more M2E content here: http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/nina-uhl/2011-07-26-enterprise-bpm-series-summary
In general everything that happens in this use case (EPC transformation, CentraSite integration, ARIS Process Governance automation, etc.) happens in the background, so that a user does not have to mess around with file import/export and other stuff, but only has a new menu in Business Architect and everything is automated.
The M2E use case is beyond the goal of this series which shall introduce the notation -independent from the tool (somewhat ;-) - to an ARIS user.

Roland,
Thankyou , i already got half the answer to my question :)
For new menu, one need to have separate/special key for Business Architect? or it is available after the installation & configuration of Process Governance Server and webMethods integration?
Rest, what is beoynd the series, like to see it in any of future article :)

The reason for this is the filter you are using (by default it is a demo filter that hides model and object types). Please log-in to your database -right click > Log-In- and in the second screen of the wizard you should select the "Entire Method".
This will give you all available models and objects as described in the method manual or the method help (in the help menu). However, for a project it is not recommended to allow the entire method for all users because there is a very high chance that you will get inconsistent models ;-)
