First of all I would like to mention that I like the tool and that we have it running on some machines.
I would like to ask for a version which is installable without a problem and less cryptic in case of an error. On the machine of a few colleagues it can't be installed (might be proxy issue) but also installing from the jnlp file failes. The latest java version has been installed but that also doesn't helped. For the time being he's using another applicatiion to do his work.
In the past we have experienced the following issue with ARIS express:
- Not working anymore after using a while
- Not saving (after a specific error) even though the tool let you contiuing your work and says that the data was saved on subsequential saving attempts.
- From one day to other day starting with continously downloading the application instead of using the local version
For me it is a pitty that especially the installation isn't giving the the same stable feeling like the tool itself. Isn't there an option to make it run in a kind of sandbox environment which is more independ of the local system.
Hi Ronnie,
we are struggling about some issues with the JRE and webstart.
Currently, Software AG has bundled all forces to work on our new products.

So currently, we cannot do any updates about ARIS.
Please be assured that this issue is adressed and in discussion, but you may understand that a cost-free tool is not currently in our focus.
Bye,
Frank
Hello,
There is a bug in the new Java version 7, which prevents ARIS Express to start.
If you installed the new version, maybe per automatical update, you need to go back to an older version of Java.
Sorry for any inconveniences. I hope, the new JRE version, where the bug have been fixed, will be released soon.
Bye,
Frank
