Your LLM, your data, your process knowledge activated
Over the past months, the ARIS AI Companion has changed how many organizations work with process knowledge. It generates process models from existing documentation, answers questions in the ARIS Portal in plain language, and speeds up process mining analyses. Until now, all of this required ARIS in the cloud. Organizations that run ARIS on-prem could not use it.
That changes with ARIS 10.0.2026.10. With Bring your own LLM, on-premises customers can now connect their own large language models (LLMs) to ARIS and use ARIS’ AI features on their own terms.
Why “bring your own LLM”?
For many organizations in an on-prem scenario, the question rarely is “Is the AI useful?” It is “Where does our data go, and who processes it?” Bring your own LLM answers that question directly.
- Your data stays where you want it. Prompts, uploaded documents and process content go only to the LLM (providers) you configure. That can be an LLM running in your own data center or your organization’s own cloud subscription. This makes it much easier to meet compliance or audit requirements.
- You choose the model. Your organization may have approved specific vendors, specific LLM versions, or only open-weight models. Whatever your policy, you decide which LLMs ARIS uses. There is no lock-in to a provider. You can also reuse an existing LLM (subscription).
- You get the full scope of ARIS AI features. The AI Companion capabilities for ARIS BPM and ARIS Process Mining as well as Process Lens are available on-prem, from model generation and the Portal chat to Mining chat, analysis in the Process Explorer and script generation. They are controlled through function privileges.
- Which LLMs can you connect? ARIS maintains a list of recommended LLMs for each ARIS release which can be found in the System Requirements document. This covers commercial frontier models as well as open-weight models running on your own infrastructure.
Getting started
Bring your own LLM is available for ARIS on-prem with version 10.0.2026.10. Your process knowledge is one of your most valuable assets. Now you can activate it with AI without compromising on where your data goes. Stay tuned for part 2, where we show you how to get started.
