What is the difference between choosing "Workspace" or "Current Version" while taking the back up of a database in ARIS 10 SR27? So far, I have tried checking a lot of things to understand the difference - 1. Both options help in retaining all change lists. 2. Both options will reflect the last "committed changes" made to the original database. Why should the ARIS admin choose to take a back up of the whole database instead of the current version, and vice versa?

Hello,
the Workspace contains all the modelling work people do. When you backup the Workspace you get a snapshot of everything, including all change lists. This is a typical use-case for backups for disaster recovery purposes, when you want to lose as little as possible.
When you backup the Current Version, any modelling work, that so far is not part of any change list, will not be backed up. So any current modelling work will not be part of that backup.
You could use the "Current Version" backup to restore the database at the last versioned state. Also suppose you publish the "Current Version" in your portal, the backup of the "Current Version" would give later auditors the same view as it was published at the time of backup.
