Currently, we have our business users utilizing the Business Publisher (via "anonymous) logon) for reviewing models AS-IS for training puposes as well as TO-BE versions for business process change requests.  However, I am in need for some assistance in two scenarios;

  • Can someone explain an EASY way to copy a business process model in order it to be displayed legibly in a powerpoint presentation? This needs to meet the requirements that the end-user can READ the model and it's objects... cut/paste, resizing/ using Print Key isn't cutting it for me or them, for that matter.
  • Can someone also explain an EASY way to "display" NOT through ARIS an E2E model so our business can legibly understand it?  They want to print it so all stakeholders of various areas can "mock" /"change" on a piecew of paper to bring to the "brainstorming" sessions?

Thank you.

Answer to both: report output to MS Excel.

Since release 7.1.0.478722 of Business Publisher (check Publisher's Info page) there is a report script for evaluation of models that creates a scalable graphic embedded in an Excel sheet.

Or print the models (I assume these are really large with dozens/hundreds of objects) to an A0 PDF and send this to your users to be printed on a plotter.
