6 days left until the ARIS UserDay in Berlin, and the tension is building! Any last-minute changes delay printing or booth set-up, the final lists need to be compiled, registration figures seem to change daily, and there are thousands of details that mustn’t be neglected. For my part, I can’t wait to be on my way to Berlin at last, getting everything ready that we’ve planned for the attendees.
There’s always so much to do, especially getting the rooms ready and preparing for the hands-on workshops—after hearing about the new functionalities and deployment scenarios, attendees can check them out on the computers provided. The attendee figures show we’re getting things right. The ARIS UserDay attracts more of the community every year, with this year’s event being the first to attract over 450 people.
It’s exciting that three ARIS BPM Live bloggers will be there, publishing material from the presentations right here in the blog. It’ll be interesting to see what attendees make of our set of ARIS magnetic icons, too, which they will receive as a gift, and how they respond to our BPM is FUN buttons.
The ARIS UserDay evening has a sporting theme, with large screens showing the matches from the 2008 European Soccer Championship. In fact, attendees won’t miss any of the soccer matches during the three-day period. If they wish, they can also get competitive themselves, with 8 table soccer tables available for the final of the IDS Scheer Table Soccer Championship. To coincide with the half-time interval of the European Championship games, we’ve arranged for two table soccer experts to demonstrate how it’s done!
The final computer tests are now being run and everything got ready for the trucking company—pallet loads of stuff! It’s amazing how much there is. The truck finally leaves on June 12 and we follow on June 14. Then we’re almost good to go!
Maybe we’ll meet up at the event …
