Hi,

I want to Export a Process Model and add to the High level diagram some attributes like Process Owner, Business Objectives supported by the Process, etc.

For attributes this seems straightforward. I can add it on the diagram or just export the attributes of the Process.

For Relationships it's less easy. The only way I see to make a relationship between e.g. Function and Objective is to draw it on a model (diagram). I would rather prefer to display only Function objects, add the Relationship in the Properties (Relationship) of the function and display this relationship in an export of the model.

Can someone tell me if it's possible to edit relatioinships of an object without having to draw explicitly with a connector this relationship on a model (diagram)? Thank you

Add the link by free text (e.g. in Description) is not an option because we would loose a main added value of a tool like ARIS, namely the object relationship. Thanks for help

Hello Samuel,

you can use the Matrix model type, using this model type you can create relationship(s) between object(s) without any modeling.

Hope it helps

Best regards

Nicolas

Hello Samuel,

If you by "...display this relationship in an export of the model" mean that you want to show this in a Business Publisher export, then there may be a way. Keeping in mind that Occurrence copies and Defenition copies do not only apply to Objects, but also to relationships. Thus there is a Occurrence level and a Defenition level also for relationships. This means you can first create the relationship between the two objects (e.g. Function and Objective) in your modelling environment:

If you now delete the relationship between the Objective and the Function 1.1.2.1.1 then the relationship still exist and can be seen in the Properties of the Function 1.1.2.1.1

The model can now be published and the relationship is not shown in the model, but can be seen in the "properties - relationships" of the object. Maybe this is something you could use?

With regards   / Harry

Hello

Regarding Harry's suggestion: be careful as a database re-org will clear out the relationship.

(IMO, it's a bug that we can still see a deleted relationship).
