hopefully aris express, is the highly ergonomic tool i was allways waiting for, with:

- less models and objects

- preconfigured templates for quick set up and modelling and fixed modelling conventions.

- a wizard which helps/guides you along the process of set up and configure your own/customer specific database

I can only tell what ARIS Express SHOULD bring 2 major things:

- as Philipp said the most iportant is PRECONFIGURED general business processes according to the industry - this will shorten very much the implementation time ( and time is money)

- a more accesible PPM in order to test the efficiency of the processes

- more preconfigured reports

P.S. - for less objects you can use Easy Filter (no offence Philipp)

Best regards,

Adrian Francu

Personally, I think ARIS Express will be a watered down version of ARIS Toolset, with less objects, lack of simulation capabilities, and a minimal choice of predetermined filters. It will be more of a visual represenation tool - similar to visio, but without the page limitations.

I agree with the comments above regarding the preconfigured industry process flows and repositories - but know that this option is somewhat avilable with integration of SAP Solution Manager. Of course, if one does not have SAP this option is not available.

Hi Charles,

I can assure you one thing: ARIS Express is not a watered down version of ARIS Toolset, because ARIS Toolset is the very outdated ARIS version for windows.

Regards,

Sebastian
