From time to time we receive emails by users reporting that they are either not able to register at ARIS Community or to login after they registered. So far, all of those reports are caused by the following problems:

  • On registration an invalid email address is entered. Each day, we receive more than 10 notifications about wrong email addresses. If possible, we try to correct them, for example changing “...@gamil.com” into “...@gmail.com”. If we can’t figure out the correct email address, we delete the account and hope that people will try again.
  • Login to ARIS Community fails if you enter your email address as login and not your username. Therefore, the field has a default value saying “username”. Still, this hint stays unnoticed by some users. We are currently checking if we can show a warning message in case someone entered an email address as login and the login failed.
  • During registration, an activation email is sent to you to validate your email address. Some email providers classify this email as spam. If you are not receiving the email within seconds after submitting your registration, check the spam folder and mark the email as not being spam.
