It's an option to use different symbols for different purposes according to conventions you choose. E.g. "internal organization" and "external organization". If you don't need that, choose one of the symbols and exclude the other one from your method filter.
Having different symbols gives you the option to allow certain connection types for an internal organization, which you do not allow for an external organization or vice versa. The point is: It enables you to map different concepts to the same object type, in this case "organizational unit" and discriminate them in your method.
