I'm downloaded and installed ArisExpress.

When trying to start the application I was asked to login. I created a new account and set my own password.

Now the login data is not accepted in the application.

Hi,

did you receive the message, that the tool cannot connect to the ARIS community, or did you receive the message that the password or user is wrong?

Hi

I received a message that the tool cannot connect the ARIS community, but I can connect to the community using the web browser.

In any case, it doesn't allow me to activate the tool and use it

Hi,

yes, Express needs to check your community account before it gets activated.

Please check the proxy-settings in the system settings.

What should the proxy-settings be and where do I check/define them?

Can't I work with the application without the community?

Hi,

if you want to run Express, you need a valid ARISCommunity accound. At the first start, Express checks this account. See: http://www.ariscommunity.com/aris-express/installation-faq#register

Express could not reach the community to check your account, which we need to enter at the startup wizard.

To specify the proxy settings, I would recommend to talk to your IT.

OK

It's a bit too complicated and I would expect you to have this done without users have to go and do proxy changes, especially we they do this on company's PCs which should work according to company's policy.

I hope my experience with the tool will be better than my experience with installing it.

aris express reports pw is wrong but im signed in here posting no proxies whats wrong? even tried my pw that was mailed to me still no cigar i really would like to try this sw

Same thing. Everything was cool until i wanted to start working with Aris. When pressing any model icon, the program says: "incorrect user name or password. please reenter both". User "system" and its password don't fit. Hours are passing by. Anyone can tell me what to do to solve this problem? Does this soft work as good as it starts?

As I can see, I'm not the only one who loses time with it. Maybe developers should write about it more loud or even solve the problem.

Hi Andrei,

we have hundreds of thousands of express users, hundred new ones every day. We have a handfull of users having problems with passwords. You see that this is quite a small percentage.

Are you talking about the registration of ARIS Express? So the community password is needed.

If there appears another dialog, asking for filter, user name and password etc... then there was an error during installation. Could you give more details?

hi

I can't log in after registering. if i try to log in i get the message as " Unable to connect to ARIS Community. Please connect to the internet when running ARIS express for the first time so that your data can be checked. Please also check the proxy settings your system in the internet options. 

But i already have an internet.
