Hi,

can I put more than one person in the attribute "person responsible"? And should I separate the names with a "/", "," or "."?

Dear Jun,

No, it has to be ONE person in order to let the workflow behind the scenes create a task for that chosen person. During the workflow that person could delegate the task to someone else.

Dear Rune,

is there a easy way to make all the "person responsible" the same person without open every EPC and edit the attribute?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Yes, you could maintain that attribute via a report which searches for the relevant models, e.g. by type or name or existence in groups.

A lesser automated task could be accomplished via the attribute table (hit F8 key on a model name in Explorer) via copy&paste the attribute value. Depending on the number of models (e.g. found via Find across the groups) this gives you more control on what is changed.

Hello,

I also wanted to use this tool (ARIS Version 9.8) but it does not work and in the log it says that the execution is failed. I have not even got an email. Is there a need for a special licence to use change management or does the connection with the email system does not work properly? Are there other issues which can disturb the process?

Thanks in advance

Darja

Dear Darja,

Do you refer to the embedded workflows in ARIS Connect which you want to use?

That feature is included in the license ARIS Connect Server.

Have you specified an email (SMTP) server in the ARIS Connect Server setup? If not, those workflows won't work. But don't worry, you don't need to reinstall ARIS. Just register the missing SMTP service. Read how to do that in http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/das-grinder/2014-01-13-smtp-aris-95.

Hello Rune,

thanks for your reply.

Yes, I meant the feature embedded in ARIS Connect. The service is registered....

You could try the most simple workflow "Share model" which should trigger also an email on that user account you chose to share it, assuming there is a valid email address defined. It could your own account, too.

That way you could eliminate a wrong SMTP setting as cause.
