Please explain Function Privileges for users in BPA.

Dear advance,

First, I am a beginner.

I am creating users on ARIS Business Architect as administrator.

I can't find a manual for Function privilege for user.

I was set serveral function privilege, but I don't know what is changed as user.

Please explain Function Privileges for users in BPA or manual.

- Attribute formatting : In designer, change font size, decoration of attributes in model

- Change management

- Database Export

- Database management

- Font format management

- Lock permanently : In explorer/designer, set lock / unlock of model or object.

- Method Changes

- Prefix management

- Report automation

- Show user management

- user management

Hi Toven. You can use ARIS help to understand what each function privilege does. To view the ARIS help & more details on this:

1. Create or edit a user

2. When you are in the function priviledges screen, click on the help tab (upper left corner)

3. Click on the Assign Privileges link.

This will open an ARIS help window that will allow you to see more information related to each of the privileges. For example:

Database export

Users with this function privilege can:

transfer database content to other databases (ARIS Merge)

export and import database content.
