There are 3 "Mini workflow" defined in ARIS 9.x. Those are available in ARIS Connect and can be used without the APG license (You do not have access to the process administration component, so you do not really know what is happening and cannot follow the process but these are interesting features).
I have two questions related to those mini-workflow:
- The share and change request workflow are pretty straight forward and can be trigger from any models in ARIS Connect with a viewer license but the Approval workflow can only be triggered from the ARIS Connect Designer. It does make sense but most customers still are mostly using ARIS Designer licenses and it would make sense that process designers (aka ARIS Designer) can also trigger the approval workflow from their models (could be via a report or macro) but this is not working currently? Does anyone have succeeded in making this happening?
- Apparently it is possible to change some minors things in the mini workflow using the connect database provided. Does anyone knows how and where as if you do not have the APG component, it is not possible to view the models in the ARIS connect database. So if anyone has some ideas, I am keen in trying them out.
