Does anyone have experience installing ARIS MashZone on Windows 8? I've had trouble getting it to run. I've tried some tweaking with copying jre content to the other directory but in the end I got it to install but I couldn't get it to work. And why hasn't Software AG updated the application (to work with Windows 8)?
Hope to hear from you.
Regards,
Simon

...I finally, after much problems, succeeded in installing Mashzone under Windows 8. But, alas, the program will not run and I stopped trying.
The next problem ist now, that I can not deinstall mashzone, which apparently causes high CPU and disk operations - I have no idea for whalt.
Absolutely unusable!
...well, Window 8 RTM has been avialable for more than a year nowe, officially Windows 8 has been released more the 6 months ago - how much time does a compay, that claims itself to be a market leader in information software, needs, to make their software run under Windows 8?
Hi, I'd say the reason is the AMZ is supposed to run mainly on a server and there is not so common to utilize Windows 8. In this server-client scenario you are with windows 8 (as a thin client via your browser) safe, because the availability is related only to supported browsers. That is my point of view... I can understand you might want to install it e.g. on your laptop for demo purposes, but enterprise-wise it doesn't make a sense.
