I have seen a few posts specifically mention 'Role' as a symbol, not just a modeling concept (http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/nayabsiddiqui/2010-06-18-assignment-roles-or-person-type). Am I confused? I don't have a Role symbol (except for a probably non-germane green rectangle with API name 'ST_SOLAR_ROLE'; it doesn't show in any EPC or Organization chart) in my local database. I am looking at the server configuration, and this isn't any omission based on whatever filter I am using. Oddly, one ARIS user group in my company added a user-defined symbol 'Role', based on Person Type. Is 'Role' an ARIS symbol out-of-the-box, or not? If not, should I use 'Person Type' to represent a role, such as 'Invoice Approver', which may be played by many different position types, different people, etc. Current version: ARIS IT Architect 7.1.0.4.
