I have attribute data in Excel which has line breaks (CTRL+ENTER) in some cells and I want to copy paste this data as it is in ARIS.
But when I do so, ARIS takes into account the line breaks and pastes the content in different cells.
I want it pasted in single field in ARIS exactly how it is at cell level in Excel.
Is there any way to do this?

Hello Utsav,
the Aris attribute editor works like Excel: In order to copy text with line breaks from an external source into one cell, open the target cell [F2] and paste from clipboard.
I believe I have not made my problem clear in the first post. I wish to bulk copy paste entire rows and columns of attributes in ARIS from excel. (ARIS allows me to open attributes of multiple functions in the attribute editor at the same time). Some cells (activity descriptions attributes for example) have line breaks and some do not.
When I am pasting the data in the attributes editor, the cells which do not have line breaks are pasting fine but the ones with line breaks are spreading across cells in the columns.
Your suggestion works when I am pasting data from a single cell from Excel.
I was just wondering if all my rows and columns of data can be bulk copy pasted without it spreading across the columns.
you can use the two reports Export and import attribute values for translation to update attributes of existing objects in a round trip. As the report for import works on the whole database, you should have a backup.
Would appreciate any help I can get.
