Cannot open adf file because it was converted to txt

Hi

I have some files .adf extension.

If I sent those files to an external/other mail (@gmail.com) they arrived as filename.adf.txt

Then I cannot open them in ARIS EXPRESS.

Do you know how can I solve this ?
