ARIS 10.4 LDAP and SharePoint

Good day all,

We have just completed an ARIS 10.0.4 installation on a virtual server connecting to SQL 2012.

The installation went fine, and connections to the ARIS server through download client and Connect works well.

I now have to configure the LDAP and SharePoint connections.

The LDAP connection, when testing says "The LDAP connection is valid", however when I "Import LDAP users", I get 0 users were imported. What am I missing? Or what could I check?

Then, SharePoint integration, where what how? Any information regarding this would be appreciated.

As for the LDAP connection, after several attempts we finally managed to import the LDAP users by populating the following fields (User Management/LDAP/<domain_name>/Behavior)

Group search paths (example: ou=groups,DC=company,DC=com)
User search paths (example: ou=users,DC=company,DC=com)

Then, back to the UMC/Additional Functions/Start LDAP import and brought all the LDAP users from our Active Directory.

Thanks for your reply.

We got the LDAP connection up, and were able to import the users, however, when I try to login with LDAP credentials, the login fails. Went back to UMC, made sure that the user account had a licence and privileges, but when I clicked in the sync button, the user account was deleted from the UMC. Went back to the users, selected Import LDAP, and user account was imported.

So, basically I'm stuck again.

Anyone out there with any ideas.

Did you set any of the other values? We seem to still be getting 0 users from the import preview.

Under LDAP > Server > Attribute mappings, we have:
objectClass: user
DN: DistinguishedName
GUID: ObjectGUID

Under LDAP > Server > Behavior, we have:
Object class of LDAP user groups: group
Object class of LDAP users: user
Search path: OU=test,DC=company,DC=com
Group search path: OU=test,DC=company,DC=com
User search path: OU=test,DC=company,DC=com
Filter for user group search: (&(ObjectClass=*))
Filter for user search: (&(SamAccountName=*))
Recursion depth: 0
Page size: 1000
Referals: ignore

Not sure whether on a 4-years old discussion someone would still continue the conversation.

After all, the ARIS version is much newer, and any technical dependency might have been changed since then.

I suggest to create a post about your issue, providing more context, such as ARIS version, ways you connect/extract from LDAP etc.
