WE

Good day Everyone,

We've got a tenant backup in Zip format as created by arisadm90.

I need to restore the users, user groups, privileges etc, from this backup.

I tried to restore the zip file using the instructions from the Installation and administration guide, with no success.

Is there a way that I can only restore the user data, without all the repositories, etc. ?

Thanks for your feedback.

Regards,

Willem

Dear Willem,

Yes, you can limit the restore tenant command to only use UMC data:

restore tenant mytenant for UMC from "C:/temp/myARIStenant.zip"

Additional runnables you simply add with comma: "...for UMC, ADS"

Hi Rune,

The string as mentioned by you did not work, and after editing your string and the example in the manual, I got it to start.

Only problem, abs_m remains in starting mode, so the restore failed.

I killed the abs_m, but after 24 hours it remains in started.

Any ideas on how to get it in Started mode quickly?

Thanks,Willem

Well, when ABS remains in STARTING mode for a longer time, there might be an issue with the external DBMS, or in case you are still using the built-in PostgreSQL DB, your amount of data exceeds the current sizing.

I recommend to run a health check on your ARIS Server via ARIS Infrastrucure:

http://localhost/umc/?origin=/acc/ui/%23/infrastructure&tenant=master#/infrastructure

When using it for the first time, add your ARIS Server node along with the parameters which are also needed for ARIS Cloud Controller (default user name Clous and password g3h31m).

If that doesn't reveal any clear symptoms, you need to inspect the ARIS log files. The most convenient way is to collect them (via collectLogFiles.bat) and attach them to a support ticket.

It might turn out that the blocked ABS is just a symptom of yet unknown root cause.

Cheers
Rune
