Good day, We are using ARIS 10 SR 11, updating to SR 15 this week.
We do have a problem when adding new users to connect.
When assigning a Connect Viewer licence, and adding the required Database with filter, etc. the user gets a message when trying to login: "No content available". "You do not have the privileges required for using this application. Please contact your administrator or log in using another user".
I have confirmed that we have more than enough Viewer licences available, 82 in total.
Am I missing something, or is there a bug somewhere?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Willem
Hi Alexander,
I have confirmed that the user(s) do have db and group privileges. On the portal drop-down a list appears, with the options of Portal, Catalog and Collaboration. If I click on Portal, it takes me back to the sceen mentioning no content. If I select catalog, the Business processes, Roles, Doc... appear and the db name. From there I can actually open and view the processes, but as soon as I click on Portal, the blank sceen with the error appears.
Thanks for ypur feedback so far.
Regards, Willem
Hi Willem,
- Check if the DB published
- check if privilege to the group has access to the particular DB. You can assign user to the group, but this group could not have access to the DB, you can check it in Architect.
If it does not work, drop me a message by email. In case of access, there should not be any issues with ARIS, there is something definitely not set for the user.
Dear Willem,
Did you assign more than one filter to those new users?
Those new users can hover with the mouse cursor over the database icon to check which filter is currently used.
See ARIS help page /static/help/en/handling/connect/ca/index.htm#232749.htm
ARIS Connect has a kind of decision tree which filter is going to be used when there more than one filter is assigned to an user account. Excerpt from ARIS help:
- If you were assigned multiple filters:
- The method filter assigned to the database is used (default filter of the database).
- If the default filter of the database does not exist, the filter named Demo is used.
- If the Demo filter does not exist either, the Entire method filter is applied.
- If the Entire method filter also does not exist, the first method filter of the alphabetically sorted list is used.
The above help text is from ARIS help page /static/help/en/handling/connect/ca/index.htm#74786.htm
Cheers
Rune
Hi Rune,
The account that I created to test, only has one filter assigned, by means of the assigned User groups. I have confirmed that the specific model type, Structuring model and it's relevant objects/symbols are allowed in the filter.
Please see attached image.
Thanks for your reply.
