Finance Business Architect Definition The Finance Business Architect is an integral contributor to the Business Process Management program, driving operational excellence and business agility. The Finance Business Architect is focused on creating and maintaining sustainable Business Models that are used to facilitate SAP Global Deployment efforts as well as ongoing Operational Excellence initiatives. Specifically, the Finance Business Architect will; Ø Define business models that support the needs of the Finance organization Ø Collaborate with Solution Owner Teams, Process Governance Board members and respective business personnel to determine gaps and opportunities for driving operational improvements and maximum process value Ø Collaborate with Finance personnel to define process performance measurements and related metrics. Ø Participate in SAP Site Mobilization and Solution Confirmation activities Job Responsibilities: The Finance Business Architect should possess the following expertise: Technical Ø Possess Business Process Management knowledge with the ability to understand and apply appropriate the concepts to achieve desired business performance Ø Experienced with Enterprise Business Architecture concepts and methods and possess the capability of translating business/system knowledge into business process models while applying the guidelines set out in business modeling standards Ø Possess an in-depth knowledge of the ARIS architecture tool for capturing business process data Ø Possess relevant system implementation or user business experience Analysis Skills Ø Strong analysis and process design skills Ø Ability to analyze problems accurately, assist with developing appropriate solutions and recommend effective courses of action for planning and implementing multi-faceted projects Ø Ability to understand integration of data, systems, people and process across the enterprise
Customer Focus Ø Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers at all levels (i.e., executives, external suppliers, vendors, etc.) Ø Clear, concise and strong analytical and problem solving skills Ø Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential problems, remove barriers, and develop solutions that will support the process and enhance service delivery Communications Ø Solid presentation skills Ø Strong writing skills, with demonstrated ability to compose professional written business communications Ø Strong editing and technical skills to draft reports and track communication Ø Demonstrated openness to creative and innovative approaches to providing service Organizational Skills Ø Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, prioritize work, set and manage competing priorities and meeting deadlines Ø Possesses the ability to access and assess information and produce accurate documentation Ø Strong time management, project management, and problem solving skills
