BUG in Business Process Flowchart unable to move objects

I have'nt used ARIS Express for some weeks and perhaps it updated automatically in the meantime (version is showing as 2.3) 7.1.0 531253 SR 2010_06, but when I am working on a new Business process chart today, I find that once I have placed an object on the canvas, I cannot move it. I have tried using drag with and without holding down the shift and ctrl keys at the same time, please help.
