Hi All,

One of my colleague is not able to view Input and organisation attributes correctly on Windows 10 machine.

Any suggestion of help.

I can only think of two things:

  • The currently used filter does not allow users to use input and org unit object occurrences in what seems to be a function allocation diagram. This can easily be verified by trying to place one of those yourself in the model with the same filter active. If that is possible, then the filter is not the problem.
  • Missing read permissions for the explorer group where the object definition of the object occurrences is located. Way to verify this (you need someone with the function-right to view user-access rights and who can see the object occurrences in the model):
  1. Right click on one of the object occurrences in the model > Go to > Occurrence in Explorer
  2. In the Explorer right click on the Explorer-Group that hierarchically contains the object definition that's been selected by the "Go to". Now pick Properties > on the left click on Access privileges (users) > in the top field "Filter list" type the username of the user that can't see the occurrences inside the model and hit enter
  3. Check the list below the filter-field. Somewhere there should be an entry for the user that can't see the object occurrences. If the "Privileges" column does not list an "r" somewhere (r = read), then that's the problem

If the access privileges are the problem, either add the user to a user group that has the read privilege for this Explorer-Group (with the ARIS UMC), or directly assign the user an individual read privilege from the window you navigated to.

The user has to log-off from the database and log back in to make use of his/her new privilege.

Edit: clarified how to add users to a user group.

Then the user might have logged on to the database with the wrong method filter.

  1. Check which filter you are using when you can see those objects. Hover above the database object in the explorer or model explorer to see the filter used.
  2. Let your colleague log off from the database and then in the context menu select "Log in with options...". Make sure the same filter is selected that you used.
  3. If your colleague has system privileges on the database he has the choice of all filters available in the tenant. Otherwise you would have to make sure you assign the filter to him for this database.
