Add Publisher server at laptop

Do you have ARIS Business Publisher installed on your laptop? If not, and you're trying to add a Publisher instance that is installed on another machine, you'll need to get the name of that machine.

Did we get a solution for this? Im trying to add a server to Business Architect which I want to be the local Business Publisher. Unfortunately It cant find the localhost/Ip or computer name.

I never heard back from Mr. Yun. Assuming you have Publisher installed on your local computer, make sure you check the firewall settings. Also, make sure the services are running. If you're using Windows, you can check the services by going to the Start Menu, clicking Run, then typing services.msc. Look for ARIS Business Publisher in the list of services, and make sure it's running.

Thanks for that. I have Business Architect and have installed Business Publisher on my laptop.

Using the "ITIL V3 extract reference model" as a test, I have set up a user group, and access rights to create a publisher profile. Architect now sees publisher as on my laptop (ie computer name) and I can log on to Publisher as "root".

I then created a publisher export from the ITIL database. It appears to step through the create function, but then stops with an errort message <The procedure was cancelled> just when the graphic objects were to be transferred.

This also happened with a small test database.

Any idea why?
