Hello,
We are trying to figure out what influenses has the OLE object in size of DB. We have our logo in form of OLE object which is used in all our models and our DB grew to almost to 700 Mb! It could be the reason? The Logo file size is 65K, png file. If yes, what should we change it for? And how it possible to "shrink" our DB to make it "lighter" .
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
do you really use OLE objects? If yes, why don't you use just graphics, that you can also paste into models?
Bye,
Frank
Thanks for your replay.
I don't know why, but graphics weight is lighter? We are just trying to "shrink" the DB.
Hello,
I did try to paste into a model and it became OLE object (I check it using script), it's not a graphic. Is it possible to paste in the "graphic" format?
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
I just cross-checked with our colleagues: due to legacy reason, still OLE object data structures are used internally.
From our point of view, it is quite hard to identify the reasons for the size of the database without having the database in our hands...
If you want to have a analyzation of the size of the database, creating in incident via Empower would help.
Bye,
Frank
