Hello everybody,

I try to transfer the links from my BP export to the SolMan.

To do this I have to enter the link with the following syntax:

http://<ARIS Business Publisher Server>/<Port>/<ARIS Business Publisher context>link.do?<profileid><login><password><localeid>

My question now:

Where can I find the <locale ID>???

Best Regards

Michi

Hallo Michi,

the easiest way to get the local id is to take it with the BP 'Copy link' function:

Hi Michi,

localeID is nothing but Language ID. It is a system language ID. What is the default language you are using? e.g. If it's Microsoft Windows, then localeid for german language will be 1031.

Hi Michi,

If you are trying to determine what needs to go on the last screen of the synchronization options to push the BP URL to SolMan.  The parameter called URL1 needs to be set to the BP URL which you can get from any model in BP.  Copy the entire link up to the model GUID including the equal sign before the GUID and paste it into the URL1 parameter.

http://ARIS1.Server.com:9090/businesspublisher/link.do?login=anonymous&password=anonymous&localeid=1033&ph=3tamnfb&modelguid=

I hope this helps.

The ph parameter seems to change if i update my publisher export, can i get this parameter from ARIS Business Architect?

I'm trying to include this link into a ARIS Report.

We have the same problem. I've noticed that PH changes. Not sure when and how, but it creates quite a few issues for us. Could you (anyone from ARIS developers)explain how ph allocation works and advice on any suitable solutions to this problem, please?

You can change the "ph" by modifying the following file:

c:\Program Files\ARIS7.2\BPSERVER\tomcat\webapps\businesspublisher\layouts\ default\config\layout.cfg.xml

Parameter: externalLink, profileEncodingType

Valid values:

"ProfileParameters" -> Default. Produces the 3 parameters filterguid, exportname and usergroupguid

"ProfileHash" -> Short link. Uses short hash over parameters. This wil produce a much shorter link with the key "ph"

"ProfileID" -> Deprecated. Uses the actual profile id. This id is not constant in case of export updates.

                If no valid value is given or this entry is not present at all, the default is taken.

                WARNING: in case of customized login processes, ensure that the login is understanding the choosen encoding

Says:

            <externalLink profileEncodingType="ProfileHash" />

Must say:

            <externalLink profileEncodingType="ProfileParameters" />
