Hi everybody,
does anybody know, how it's possible to enter the path to the saplogon.ini and the Web Server URL in the Business Publisher to open SAP documentation? The first time I entered the path and the URL into the dialog that opens when you hit 'Open SAP Documentation',I enterd the wrong URL.so now I want to change it,but I have no idea how to open that dialog again.I don't know if I'm a littlebit of a fool or if it's really that complicated, but if someone could point me in the right direction here,I would be very thankful.
And maybe someone also knows where I can get the right URL. In the Business Publisher help it says that I have to open the project in SAP Solution Manager, mark the document, open attributes and if I hit 'Generate', the URL would be stored to the clipboard automaticaly. But if I open the attributes, there's no 'Generate' button.
any ideas?
Best Regards
Michi
Hi Michi,
at first it is the best when we start to get the Webservice URL of your Solution Manager system.
There are to ways:
1. You are mentioned that there is no 'Generate' button - it sounds very strange. Here is a screenshot of the document attribute dialog with a 'Generate' button:
2. Another way is to get the URL over the transaction 'SICF' (Maintain Services).
First select the 'Execute' button and select inside the next screen in the service tree
'default_host/sap/bc/solman/' the element 'SolManDocuments'. The click right this element
and select the entry 'Test Service' of the popup menue. Then a browser is open with
the document download URL. You can use this URL for the BP document start.
Now we have the Webservice URL and we can use this for the BP document start.
There are two ways too:
1. Use a screen object (transaction) which is synchronized SolMan transaction or use a screen object which has maintained the attribute 'Transaction code' and click right on this object and select the entry 'Run SAP transaction' of the popup menue.
Then the transaction dialog is open. Here you have to select the the 'Options' button. Inside the options dialog you can maintain the URL for the document start.
2. It is also possible to change the URL via the Windows Registry - but be careful with this option. The URL is maintained under the path
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IDS\ARIS\7.1\SAPExplorer' inside the key 'WEBSERVICE'.
Best regards,
Sascha
Hi Sascha,
thanks for your fast answer.now it works.
but I have another problem, now.when I change a model in the Business Architect and run an update towards the Business Publisher, I can't open the Business Publisher to watch the updates I made. I first have to stop the Publisher Server and start it again, then it works.
Do you know how I can change this?
Kind Regards
Michael
