You will model the system landscape of the "MyFavoriteBookExpress" company. To open the new model, click on "System landscape".

A system landscape illustrates the assignment of IT systems to domains. This is significant in budgeting and for assigning administrative responsibilities, for example.

You first place the domain that contains all application systems and assign a name to it. Enlarge the object and move its name to the top to have enough space to insert other objects available.

Insert the default fragment "Domain 1". Since this domain will have only two IT systems, delete the other ones and adjust the size of the domain. To create a second domain that is to contain one application system, copy and paste the customized fragment. The first subordinate domain contains the systems for customer relationship management. You therefore assign the name "CRM" to this domain. Assign the names "ERP system" for enterprise resource planning and "Credit card check" to the IT systems. Assign the name "Order processing" to the second subordinate domain. It contains the order system. You can delete one IT system and assign a name to the other one. You can now set the font, and resize and align the objects.

The model will then be complete. Save the model as "System landscape MyFavoriteBookExpress". You have modeled the system landscape of the "MyFavoriteBookExpress" company.
